Singapore/Malaysia-based Botanic Records is proud to announce our third (and final) release for 2018 and the debut EP Liminal Being from Brooklyn-based Malaysian producer wanhanzan. Harnessing a period of personal uncertainty with focus and precision, the artist introduces themselves with both a deft touch for kinetic, pulsating electronic rhythms and a meticulous ear for detail over four driving cuts condensed into a tidy 16 minutes.

Whether drawing from Asiatic scales, warped white noise or intentionally-muddied samples of world newscasters reporting on the producer’s native Malaysia, Liminal Being is an enthralling first listen from an artist to watch.
